Multi-award-winning actress Meryl Streep has joined Carey Mulligan and Helena Bonham Carter in the cast of Abi Morgan‘s upcoming historical drama, Suffragette. Streep will be playing militant suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst, whose radical protest tactics made her one of the most controversial women of her time.
